During the Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak, your safety and the safety of our trainers is our primary concern. Key to this is following government recommendations closely, and with the recent change of government advice around the pandemic, we wanted to let you know that we’ve updated our COVID-19 guidelines.
We ask any learners that show any of the symptoms listed below to follow the Public Health England (PHE) advice to self-isolate for 7 days and do not attend the training sessions. This protects both our trainers and other delegates.
A high temperature – you feel hot to touch on your chest or back
A new continuous cough – this means you've started coughing repeatedly
A loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
Learners on our courses will currently not be required to carry out mouth to mouth or place their ears near the patients face to check for breathing. Cardiac arrest will now be recognised by looking for the absence of signs of life and the absence of normal breathing, chest compressions will then be performed. Learners may be trained in other suitable barrier devices ie: bag, value, mask. This is in line with UK Resuscitation Council and PHE guidelines.
All our manikins and training equipment are cleaned using anti-bacterial wipes in-between learners. Trionic wipes that clean the build-up of invisible biofilm are used by our trainers to clean our manikins and equipment after every session.
