LEVEL 3 AWARD IN FIRST AID AT WORK REQUALIFIER (RQF)

COURSE OVERVIEW

This course is designed for those individuals who have previously successfully completed a Level 3 award in First Aid at Work or a Health & Safety Executive "First Aid at Work" qualification.

 

The aim of the course is to provide the candidate with First Aid refresher training and accredited re-qualification; to enable them to carry out appropriate and effective emergency first aid in the workplace.

CONTENT OVERVIEW

  • The role and responsibilities of the first aider

  • Assess situations in order to act safely and effectively

  • Basic Life Support & Automated External Defibrillation

  • Unconscious casualty

  • Management of a seizure

  • Choking

  • Shock

  • External Bleeding

  • Minor injuries small cuts / grazes / small splinters / nose bleeds minor burns and scald

  • Completing accident report form

  • Administer first aid to a casualty with Chest Injuries

  • Asthma and Hyperventilation

  • Wounds and Bleeding

  • Eye Injuries

  • Anaphylaxis

  • Angina and Heart attack

  • Stroke

  • Burns and Scalds

  • Poisoning Head and Spinal Injuries

  • Injuries to Bones / Muscles / Joints

  • Secondary Survey

  • Other Major Illnesses: Epilepsy and Diabetes
